Interakt pricing in 2026: plans, per-conversation charges and the real cost for Indian SMBs

Interakt is where a lot of Indian small businesses first meet the official WhatsApp Business API: the subscription looks affordable, agents are unlimited, and the WhatsApp side is bundled in. The part that decides the real bill is in smaller print. Interakt charges its own per-message rate on template messages, a step above Meta's, and that rate depends on which plan you're on.

This post sets out the plans as Interakt published them in September 2026, the per-message rates next to Meta's own, the add-ons, and two worked months for an Indian business. Where a number isn't published, it says so.

What do Interakt's plans cost in 2026?

One caveat about currency. Interakt shows a rupee price list to visitors browsing from India and the dollar list above to everyone else. We could only load the dollar list, so treat the rupee subscription prices as not published here and ask Interakt for them before you budget. The per-message rates below are the rupee figures Interakt publishes for Indian numbers, which is what matters most for an Indian business.

Interakt also sells a separate Sales CRM at ₹2,499 a month plus taxes, with five sales agents included and extra agents at ₹499 a month.

What each plan includes

Growth gives you the shared team inbox for WhatsApp and Instagram, bulk campaigns, greeting and out-of-office automations, FAQ automations and a linear chatbot builder, catalogs, native WhatsApp payments, public APIs and assisted onboarding. Agents are unlimited in every role. Messages and contacts are unlimited, subject to Meta's own messaging limits on your number.

Advanced adds the branching chatbot builder with API calls and conditions, automatic chat assignment, advanced webhooks and higher field, tag and event limits.

Enterprise adds RCS, higher rate limits, faster campaign sends, personalised support and, notably, no markup on template messages.

AI answers are not in any plan. WhatsApp AI Agents are an add-on, covered below.

Per-message charges for Indian numbers

Meta has billed per delivered template message since July 2025. Service replies within 24 hours of a customer's message are free, utility templates inside that window are free, and anything within 72 hours of a click-to-WhatsApp ad is free. Interakt bills you its own rate for the charged categories, which sits above Meta's. Both as published in September 2026, in rupees, for messages to Indian numbers; Meta's figures are from its INR rate card:

So the markup is about 10 to 12 percent on marketing and authentication and 22 to 39 percent on utility, falling as you move up the plans, and zero on Enterprise.

Interakt also publishes a dollar table for international numbers. On Growth, a marketing message to Indonesia is $0.0456 against Meta's $0.0411, to Brazil $0.0694 against $0.0625, to the UAE $0.0553 against $0.0499, and to Malaysia $0.0955 against $0.0860.

What does Interakt cost in a real month?

One rule sets the shape of both months. Since 1 July 2025 the WhatsApp Business Platform has charged per delivered template message, whether marketing, utility or authentication, while non-template replies inside the 24-hour customer service window are free (Meta for Developers, 2025). Inbound threads therefore cost nothing at either company, and the subscription, not the messaging, is what a low-volume month is made of.

Take a Bengaluru clothing brand on Growth. Its WhatsApp is mostly customers asking about sizes and deliveries, plus order updates and a promotion now and then. Rupee amounts are converted at a rough ₹85 to the dollar.

200 conversations a month. Say 140 are customers writing in (free), 40 are order updates sent after the 24-hour window closed (utility) and 20 are promotions (marketing). Interakt's message charges: 40 × ₹0.150 plus 20 × ₹0.958, about ₹25, or 30 cents. At Meta's own rate it would have been about ₹22. The subscription is the bill: $55 plus taxes, so roughly $55.30 plus GST.

1,000 conversations a month. Say 600 inbound, 250 utility and 150 marketing. Message charges come to ₹37.50 plus ₹143.70, about ₹181 or $2.13. With the subscription that's about $57 plus taxes. If the brand wants the AI Agents add-on to answer those 600 inbound threads, add $74.99, for about $132 plus taxes.

Broadcasting changes the picture. A single campaign to 1,000 Indian contacts costs ₹958 on Growth, about $11.30, against ₹863 at Meta's rate. Four campaigns a month to 1,000 people is ₹3,832 in message charges, about $45, close to the subscription again. That's where Enterprise's "no template markup" starts to matter.

Add-ons, taxes and trial

WhatsApp AI Agents are listed at $74.99 a month as an add-on on Growth and Advanced. The AI Agents tab on the same page shows a ₹2,499 a month subscription that includes 100 AI messages, with each AI message beyond that at $0.011; ask which applies to you. All prices exclude taxes. The page offers a free trial but does not state its length. Onboarding is self-serve on Starter and assisted on Growth and Advanced.

Setup and contracts

Interakt is a Meta Business Solution Provider, so you're on the official API: a Meta Business Manager account, business verification for the green badge and higher sending limits, and templates approved by Meta before you can send them. Interakt handles the API application as part of onboarding. Plans are monthly, quarterly or yearly.

Who Interakt is right for

An Indian D2C brand or service business that broadcasts to an opted-in list, needs catalogs and WhatsApp Pay, and wants unlimited agents on one number gets a lot for $55 to $69 a month. The per-message markup is modest at low volume and disappears on Enterprise, and the official route brings the badge and the templates.

It's a weaker fit for a small shop, clinic or tuition centre whose WhatsApp is mostly people asking questions. You'd pay the subscription for a campaign engine you rarely use, and $74.99 more before anything answers a customer for you.

Replai compared

Replai is for that second business. It pairs to the WhatsApp number you already have as a linked device, the way WhatsApp Web does, so there's no API application, no business verification and no per-message fee from Meta or anyone else. Plans are a flat $19, $49 or $99 a month with the AI included: Starter covers 120 conversations a cycle on one number, Growth 300 across up to three numbers with outbound campaigns, Pro 600 across up to five. A conversation is up to five bot replies in one thread; a top-up of 100 is $9, or $8 on Growth and $7 on Pro. The 200-conversation month fits Growth at $49; the 1,000-conversation month is Pro plus four top-ups at the Pro rate, $127, with every reply answered from your own price list and policies.

The limits are real. Replai doesn't give you the green verified badge, doesn't send Meta-approved broadcast templates, and runs on an unofficial WhatsApp library, so a ban risk exists that Interakt's official route doesn't carry. Replai's warm-up and rate limits reduce that risk; they don't remove it. If you broadcast to thousands, pay Interakt. If you need your inbox answered in Hindi, Tamil and English at 11pm, the 7-day trial at replai.pm needs no card.
